Dr. Stuart L. Silverman began his journey in Chicago, eventually graduating cum laude from Princeton University in biology. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in 1973. His extensive post-graduate training includes an internship and residency at University Hospital in Boston, followed by a rheumatology fellowship and a Thorndike research fellowship at Boston University.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Silverman has shaped the next generation of medical professionals. He has served as a lecturer at Tufts University, an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Clinical Professor at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.

Dr. Silverman maintains a full-time private practice in Beverly Hills, CA, where he focuses on complex conditions including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, long-haul COVID, and osteoporosis.

His dedication to fibromyalgia research was deeply motivated by his own mother’s struggle with the illness, driving him to better understand and treat the condition.

He is a globally recognized Key Opinion Leader, serving on the Board of Trustees for the International Osteoporosis Foundation and developing the world’s first quality-of-life questionnaire for osteoporosis patients (OPAQ).

When he is not treating patients or conducting research, Dr. Silverman is a devoted family man, happily married to his wife Ellen and has two children and six grandchildren.

He believes in practicing the wellness he prescribes, engaging in weight training five days a week and enjoying boxing, jiu-jitsu, tennis, and pickleball. He is also a musician who enjoys playing jazz and blues on the piano.
